UPDATE: Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit Closes with N673 Million Deals

The 8th Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS) has just wrapped up in Abuja, and it’s been a huge success! President Bola Tinubu attended as the Special Guest of Honor, emphasizing the government’s commitment to leveraging diaspora investments for national development.

The summit generated investment deals worth ₦673 million, with 56 investment pitches presented across eight strategic sectors. The event brought together over 1,500 participants, including 236 investors and 1,197 business owners, to explore opportunities in Nigeria’s key sectors.

Vice President Kashim Shettima urged Nigerians in the diaspora to invest in the country’s infrastructure, small businesses, and human capital development. The summit spotlighted finance and fintech, ICT, creative industries, sports, agribusiness, healthcare, real estate, and energy.

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) aims to harness over $20 billion in annual diaspora remittances to drive national economic growth. The event has contributed over ₦500 million to local businesses and creatives, showcasing the potential of diaspora-led investments.
