LATEST NEWS: Trafficking Ring Busted, Nigerian Man Arrested for Trafficking Girls to Ghana

A 39-year-old man, Yusuf, has been arrested in Adamawa state for allegedly trafficking girls to Lagos, where they were to be transported to Ghana for prostitution. Yusuf confessed to working as a transporter, collaborating with two women, Happy and Elizabeth, who allegedly supply the girls. He was paid ₦50,000 for each girl he transported, with victims ranging in age from 14 to 30.

Yusuf’s responsibility was to convey the victims from Yola to Lagos and hand them over to another trafficker who would move them onward to Ghana. The police command in Yola made the announcement on Tuesday, and investigations are ongoing.

In a similar case, a Nigerian man, Hamza Hammantukur Isa, was arrested in Adamawa state for trafficking young girls to Ghana for sexual exploitation. He confessed to trafficking at least 10 girls to Ghana with the help of two female accomplices who are currently on the run.
