LATEST NEWS: NIN Upgrade Alert: Easier Registration for Nigerians Abroad

The Federal Government has upgraded the National Identification Number (NIN) enrolment platform for Nigerians living abroad, making it easier and more secure to register and access services. The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) says the enhanced system will provide a more seamless, robust, and efficient service experience.

With the upgrade, diaspora applicants can access enrolment services from compliant Front-End Partners (FEPs) who have been trained on the new platform. The NIMC has also set up a dedicated service team to resolve enrolment issues and urges NIN holders to download the NINAuth app to verify their numbers and control access to their personal information.

The upgrade is expected to benefit millions of Nigerians living abroad who require NIN for various services. The NIMC has partnered with institutions to provide NIN enrolment services in countries like the UK, US, Canada, and Australia. The move is part of efforts to improve Nigeria’s digital identity infrastructure and enhance security.
