LATEST NEWS: Nigerian MPAC Slams US Delegation Over ‘Baised’ Engagement

The Muslim Public Affairs Centre (MPAC) has expressed disappointment and frustration over the recent engagement between the US delegation and Nigerian officials, labeling it as “biased” and “one-sided”. According to a report, MPAC claims that the US delegation failed to address pressing issues affecting Muslims in Nigeria, instead focusing on promoting Western interests.

The group alleges that the engagement was dominated by discussions on security and counter-terrorism, with little attention given to the plocation of Muslims in the country. MPAC National Secretary, Dr. Abdulwahab Ahmad, stated that the US delegation’s approach was “unacceptable” and “counterproductive”.

“This biased approach will only serve to exacerbate the existing problems in Nigeria, rather than addressing the root causes of the conflict,” Ahmad said.

MPAC is calling on the US government to adopt a more balanced approach in its engagement with Nigerian officials, one that prioritizes the welfare and rights of all Nigerians, regardless of their faith or ethnicity.
