LATEST NEWS: EMPOWERING NIGERIANS ABROAD: NECO Launches Historic Exam Center in London

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has launched its first examination center in London, UK, providing a beacon of hope for Nigerians in the diaspora. This pioneering center offers credible assessment opportunities for Nigerian students and adult learners facing challenges in the British education system.

The London center marks a significant milestone in NECO’s global expansion drive, with exams now conducted in seven countries, including Saudi Arabia. The center was established in partnership with UK-based education provider Barnfield Education Ltd.

NECO certificates are accepted by top UK universities, including Birmingham City University and Leeds Trinity University, as well as institutions in the US, Canada, India, China, and Russia. The center provides a recognized alternative pathway for Nigerian students and adult learners to complete their secondary education or obtain equivalent qualifications.

This initiative is expected to empower Nigerians in the diaspora, promote national pride, and strengthen the global recognition of NECO certificates. The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, commended NECO for this groundbreaking achievement, aligning with the Ministry’s goal of leveraging the diaspora as a vital educational resource.
