The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) is urging Nigerians living abroad to resolve conflicts peacefully and through dialogue, rather than violence. This call comes after a Nigerian citizen, Emeka Christian, was killed in Pune, India, over a romantic dispute.
NiDCOM Chairman Abike Dabiri-Erewa emphasized the need for Nigerians to uphold the law and reject violence, saying their actions abroad reflect on Nigeria’s image.NiDCOM is working to support Nigerians abroad and promote peaceful conflict resolution.
In a similar vein, the commission has been advocating for increased awareness about the dangers of illegal migration and promoting legal pathways for Nigerians to travel abroad.
