Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu, a renowned creative entrepreneur, has been appointed High Commissioner Designate to the Federal Republic of Nigeria by President John Mahama. The announcement was made on March 1, 2026, by Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

Baba Sadiq, 38, brings a wealth of experience to the role. He’s the founder of Strong Tower Media and 3Media Networks, which has shaped Ghana’s entertainment landscape with events like the 3Music Awards. His expertise in media and communications spans 20 years, with notable roles at Boomplay, Viasat1 Ghana, and Trace TV.

As High Commissioner Designate, Baba Sadiq will strengthen Ghana-Nigeria ties, promoting trade, cultural exchange, and diplomatic cooperation. His appointment reflects President Mahama’s focus on youth empowerment and strategic appointments to enhance bilateral bonds.

Minister Ablakwa praised Baba Sadiq, saying, “I have no doubt you will hold aloft Ghana’s flag and make the youth of our continent proud”.
