Nigerians living abroad are making waves globally, and their excellence was on full display at the 2nd Global African Diaspora Awards (GADA) held on December 12, 2025. The event brought together over 400 guests from across the globe to recognize outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions in various fields.
Among the winners were Joseph Oche Udeh, who took home the MC/Hypeman of the Year award; David Cross Idukomose, named Entertainer of the Year; and DJ Prince, who won Best African DJ – Global. Other notable winners included Engr. Stella Ifeoma Okengwu, Dynamic CEO of the Year; Jumai Ghaji, Entrepreneur of the Year; Dr. Kennedy Nnadi, Developer of the Year; and Bolaji Ajimotokan, Global Business Ingenuity Award winner.
The GADA Awards aim to amplify African voices, promote diversity, and inspire the next generation. The 3rd edition is set to take place in Houston in 2026, followed by Paris in 2027.
The event was a testament to the impact Nigerians in the diaspora are having globally, and their achievements are a source of pride for the nation.
