Aptech and Scope Global Skills University (SGSU) have partnered to launch a unique “Nigeria-to-India” IT degree pathway, offering a 36-month Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) in Information Technology with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This program aims to bridge Nigeria’s digital skills gap and produce industry-ready talent for the global digital economy.
The program structure includes Phase 1 (18 months in Nigeria): Students train at Aptech centers across Nigeria, learning core skills like Python, Java, C programming, SQL Server, and AI-powered web development. Phase 2 (18 months in India): Students proceed to SGSU’s campus in Bhopal for advanced coursework, including deep learning, computer vision, MongoDB-based data science, and a final capstone project.
The program is designed to address Nigeria’s growing demand for AI engineers, data scientists, and full-stack developers. The B.Voc. degree is approved by India’s University Grants Commission and qualifies holders for global employment and postgraduate studies. The program is more affordable than similar degrees in Western countries, making international tech education accessible to more Nigerian youths.
Graduates can pursue careers as AI/ML Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Full-Stack Developers, and AI-driven App Developers. Admissions for the first cohort are now open, marking a new era of accessible international tech education for Nigerian youth.
