Former Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, has denied reports of his death circulating on social media, describing them as “baseless” and the “handiwork of mischief-makers”. In a statement, Obiano said, “I am alive, hale, hearty, and in excellent health. By the special grace of God, I am doing very well”.
The former governor expressed gratitude to those who reached out with messages and prayers, saying, “Your love and goodwill mean more than words can express”. He urged the public to disregard the false reports, adding, “We remain focused, grateful, and guided by God’s grace”.
Obiano’s former Commissioner for Information, C. Don Adinuba, also confirmed that the former governor is alive and well, residing in Texas, United States. Adinuba described the death rumors as “reckless” and “entirely fabricated”.
