✈️Nigerian travelers and inbound passengers are bracing for a price hike as the country introduces a new $11.5 security levy on flight tickets, effective December 1, 2025. This new tax, part of the Advance Passenger Information System (APIS), will bump the total security levy to $31.50 per ticket.
According to estimates, this will rake in a whopping $46 million annually for the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). While the NCAA might be smiling to the bank, Nigerian travelers will be shelling out more cash for international trips.
