Reforms highlighted include easier passport access, operational non-resident Bank Verification Number (BVN), and growing investment opportunities.
Shettima cited economic progress like foreign reserve nearing $40 billion, subnational revenue growth, and significant infrastructure investments under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Youth empowerment initiatives like the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) showcase commitment to inclusive growth. Nigerians at the meeting expressed readiness to invest in key sectors like technology (Artificial intelligence, Fintech), healthcare (Medical innovations), mining (natural resources), agriculture (food security), and creative industries (cultural exports).
Chairman if Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abke Dabiri-Erewa, praised the administration’s diaspora-focused reforms, noting enhanced passport services and non-resident BVN accessibility.
